Yes. Make sure [Data Roaming] for the secondary line (the eSIM plan you added) is enabled to use data with the eSIM.

To enable it, go to [Settings] - [Cellular] and enable [Data Roaming] as described below.

Apple

Go to [Settings] – [Cellular]

Click [Secondary] (the eSIM plan you added)

Make sure [Data Roaming] is enabled.

If you have correctly configured your newly added eSIM plan to use cellular data and have turned off automatic line switching as described below, there will be no additional charges.

Apple

Go to [Settings] – [Cellular]

Tap [Cellular Data]

Make sure [Allow cellular data switching] is turned off.

You can also contact your domestic carrier and sign up for any Blocked Paid International Roaming service.

If you cannot access data after successfully activating your eSIM plan, make sure [Data Roaming] is enabled and try rebooting your phone.
To check if your device is locked, check your device settings as described below or contact your carrier. If your phone is locked, you should contact your local carrier to unlock your phone before using an eSIM plan.

Apple
Go to [Settings] - [General] - [About] and swipe down.
If you see "Network Provider Lock - Unlimited SIM" and "Digital SIM - IMEI (number will appear)", your phone is compatible with eSIM.
If you find "SIM Card Restrictions", your phone does not support eSIM.

Samsung and Google
Go to [Settings] – [Connections] – [Mobile networks]
Select [Network Operators]
If available networks appear, your phone is probably unlocked.
If, when searching for a network, only one result comes up or the “Search for networks” option is not available in the “Networks” menu, then most likely the phone is locked to a telecom operator.
In most cases, once an eSIM plan is installed, it cannot be reinstalled or reissued.
If you have the following devices, you will not be able to use eSIM on your device.
iPhone models do not support eSIM
iPhone locked by carrier
iPhone purchased in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau**
(**Hong Kong and Macau versions have exceptions that support eSIM, such as iPhone XS, iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation only), iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini.)
iPhone 6
iPhone 7 series
iPhone 8 series
iPhone X
iPhone SE 1 Generation

Samsung models do not support eSIM
Samsung device locked by carrier
All Samsung S20 FE/S21 FE models (Mostly people get confused because other S20 and S21 models may be compatible with eSIM.)
US versions of Samsung S20/S21 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G
Versions of Samsung Note 20 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 for the USA and Hong Kong
South Korea versions of most Samsung devices (devices released after Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 are compatible with eSIM.)
The Canadian and US version of Samsung S21 series devices (excluding FE models) may have eSIM support if the One UI 4 update is installed.)
Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Note 10, Note 10+ or Note Lite
Samsung Galaxy S10, S10e, S10 Lite or S10+
Samsung S9 or S9+
Samsung S8 or S8+

Xiaomi Redimi Note series (9pro, 9t, etc.)
Xiaomi devices (Poco F3, 12T, etc. etc)
Oppo Devices
Surface Duo Devices

If your device supports eSIM, you will need to find its secondary "IMEI" number for the eSIM by following these steps.

Apple
Go to settings]
Click [General] - [About]
Scroll down to view the device serial number and IMEI for the primary and secondary SIM cards.
If you have 2 IMEI numbers, your device supports eSIM.

Samsung
Go to settings]
If you see a search bar in [Settings], enter "IMEI" and the "IMEI Information" (or similar) option should appear (otherwise you will need to go to [About Phone] - [Status]).
Click [IMEI Information]. If "IMEI (eSIM)" is displayed, it means your device supports eSIM.

Other Android
Dial *#06# and press “call”.
If your device supports eSIM, you will be able to view your device's unique eSIM identification number (EID).

Yes, you can purchase our eSIM before departure or after arrival.

However, you should not scan and install the eSIM as the start of the validity period depends on the specific plan you choose.

For some plans it may start as soon as you scan the QR code and install the eSIM, while for others it may only start once the eSIM is connected to your local network.

Therefore, we recommend checking the product page carefully for more detailed information.

Yes. You can use hotspots/tethering and exchange data with eSIM.

Please note that if you are transferring data through a laptop, the speed may be slower than you expected.

Since eSIM is designed for use on mobile devices, you can easily share data with other mobile devices.

The start of action varies depending on the plan you choose. For some plans it may start as soon as you scan the QR code and install the eSIM, while for others it may only start once the eSIM is connected to your local network.
Therefore, we recommend checking the product page carefully for more detailed information.
Once your purchase is complete, we will send you a confirmation email with a QR code.
There are two ways to add an eSIM to your device (note that these steps may vary depending on your device and language).
To activate the plan, you need to be connected to a network with a strong Wi-Fi signal and not in airplane mode.
To prevent unintended data usage, mark your physical SIM card (domestic plan) as [Primary] and select [Secondary] for the “eSIM plan” during setup.
Also, to pre-block data usage based on the physical SIM card, turn off [Cellular Data Switching].

Apple
Here's how to turn off [Cellular Data Switching]:
Go to [Settings] – [Cellular]
Tap [Cellular Data]
Make sure [Allow cellular data switching] is turned off.
You can also contact your domestic carrier and sign up for any Blocked Paid International Roaming service.
If you have already used the data, we will not be able to issue a refund as we cannot refurbish or resell the eSIM once it has been installed.
If you want to enable both the new eSIM and the original (primary) SIM, disable the "Enable automatic cellular data switching" option under Cellular Data.
Otherwise, it will automatically replace you with your original SIM if the additional eSIM you added from us doesn't work, and will charge you international roaming fees from your domestic carrier.
To confidently use your new eSIM, disable your primary eSIM's SIM profile by turning off the Enable this line option.
Here's how:
Go to [Settings] - select [Cellular/Mobile Data] - in the "Cellular Tariffs" section, go to the SIM card profile tab.
Turn off "Enable this line"
For Apple devices:
Go to settings]
Go to [Cellular/Mobile Data]
The amount of data used can be found in the “Roaming for the current period” section.
Alternatively, you can visit Apple's website here for more detailed instructions. Another option is to dial 1019# and call to inquire about your data usage.
For Samsung devices:
Go to [Settings] – [Connections]
Click [Data Usage]
The amount of mobile data you have used will be displayed.
Alternatively, you can also dial 1019# and call to check your data usage.
For Google devices:
Go to [Settings] – [Network and Internet] – [Internet]
Next to your carrier, tap [Settings]
At the top you will see the total amount of data you have used.
No. You cannot scan the same QR code on multiple devices. In addition, one QR code cannot be scanned multiple times. Scanning will not work if the number of scans exceeds the limits.
In most cases no. The same eSIM plan cannot be reissued with a different QR code. That's why we strictly prohibit deleting an eSIM plan while it's in use.
You can temporarily disable eSIM. If you disable your eSIM plan instead of deleting it, you can enable and reuse it later. However, please note that the validity period cannot be changed after activation.
Apple
How to disable eSIM plan:
Go to [Settings] – [Cellular]
Click [Secondary] (the eSIM plan you added)
Click [Turn on this line] to turn off
